This course will appeal to anyone who wants to become more adventurous and confident when choosing wine. The course starts with exploring how to taste and describe wine. Topics include:

How to taste wine
Grape varieties
Wine making and the role of oak
Vineyards, and why they are important
How to read a wine label
Sparkling wine
The wine regions of the world
Choosing wine and food matching

Each evening will there will be an illustrated talk, followed by a discussion and a tutored tasting

The course will enable wine to be chosen with enhanced confidence, and with knowledge of the contribution of wine making, grape varieties, and region of origin.
