Spain is one of the three largest wine producing countries. The wines of Rioja are well known but Spain has many other wine regions. Moreover the wine producers in Spain tend to be of a substantial size yet still family controlled. This makes for an innovative region.
Whilst staying true to tradition Spain has been slowly improving the quality, and is now producing an alternative range of wines that are aimed at the modern palate.
In this tasting I will be featuring some of the lesser known regions of Spain, and including some that have recently gained awards in the New Wave Spanish competition.
As usual there will be a selection of quality breads and cheeses
