Learn About Wine in a Sociable Environment

Choosing Wine With Confidence will appeal to anyone who wants to become more adventurous and confident when choosing wine. Each module starts with exploring how to taste and describe wine. This week can be skipped by those that have taken the other module. This arrangement means that the modules can be taken in any order. The format is based on extensive experience in giving wine appreciation courses. Each evening starts with an illustrated talk and then moves on to a tutored tasting. By popular request:
  • Everyone sits round a long table, dinner party style
  • The first wine is passed around early in the evening
  • There is interesting information such as history, trends, technical insights, etc.
  • The final evening of each term is a DIY wine and food evening.

The course will enable wine to be chosen with enhanced confidence, and with knowledge of the contribution of wine making, grape varieties, and region of origin.
